Dynamic Flex

Dynamic Flex refers to the surfboard’s real-time flex behaviour under changing loads, compression forces and directional shifts. It describes how the board bends, recovers and redistributes energy during turns, pumps, rail transitions and speed bursts, shaping how lively, elastic or reactive it feels in motion.

Its behaviour depends on carbon and hybrid fibres, composite sequencing, reinforcement placement, foam density, and stiffness distribution. These elements determine how quickly the board rebounds, how much energy it stores and releases, and how smoothly it adapts to wave shape.

Dynamic Flex connects with Flex Pattern, Adaptive Flex, Flex Memory and Flex Response, defining how responsive and fine-tuned the board feels through complex movements.

Shapers refine Dynamic Flex through tuned laminations, advanced reinforcement layouts and construction choices that maintain responsiveness, feedback and control.
