Catalyst

Catalyst refers to the reactive additive used to accelerate resin curing during surfboard manufacturing. It controls how quickly polyester or hybrid resin systems harden, directly influencing lamination timing, wet-out quality, heat generation, surface consistency and overall structural integrity. Catalyst behaviour depends on temperature, mixing accuracy, ratio precision, resin chemistry and environmental conditions inside the glassing room.
