Full Rail

A full rail maintains more foam through the rail’s cross-section, increasing buoyancy and forgiveness. This shape keeps more of the rail above the water, reducing edge bite while improving glide and paddling efficiency. Full rails enhance stability when trimming and make it easier to recover from small balance errors, especially in softer waves and relaxed styles. Shapers use fuller rails toward the nose and mid-section while tuning them with rail volume, tuck line, and foil to maintain balanced responsiveness along the board.
