Vee Bottom

A vee bottom creates a slight ridge along the board’s centerline, sloping down toward both rails. This geometry helps the board roll more easily from rail to rail, improving pivot and rail engagement transitions. Vee is commonly used in the fin cluster or tail area to maintain control when turning at speed. Shapers adjust vee depth to balance stability, sensitivity and speed depending on wave power and board style.
