Model Origins
At the end of 2022, Arakawa began developing the Soop Bowl with surfer Alonso Correa, following the success of the Silmaril. The goal was to create a high-performance board for competing in small waves during the 2023 QS season. After three months of testing, a model was born featuring a tuned rocker and deep concave bottom—quickly delivering wins in competitions across Central and South America.

Designed for waves between 0.3 m and 1.5 m, the Soop Bowl excels in weak to medium conditions with defined walls and fast sections, such as those found at Baleal, Foz do Lizandro, Ribeira d’Ilhas, Costa da Caparica, and Praia do Amado. It is engineered to maintain performance even when the wave lacks power.
